Christopher Roper Schell
I am a son of Texas, born in Dallas before moving to the Gulf Coast. Later I attended S.M.U. then spent a decade working for Congressman Ralph Hall, ultimately as his legislative director. I have since worked in a similar capacity for two other Republican Members of Congress, as well as for the Department of the Army at the Pentagon. In June 2017, I received my law degree.
Over 10 years with Congressman Hall, my love of CD-04 became engrained and absolute. I learned from him how to introduce and pass effective legislation, as well as provide unparalleled constituent service. I will serve energetically in his proud tradition.
For many years I worked part-time evening and weekend jobs to support myself, so I could do the CD-04 public service work I loved. Such service has a long history in my family. Two of my great-grandfathers were mayors, one of whom was the longest serving mayor of Plano. With 44 years, my grandfather was the longest-serving board member of the North Texas Municipal Water District and was a city council member. My father was appointed by President Ronald Reagan and served as a federal judge for many years in Sherman. He also has served on church, historical and halfway house boards, and both he and my uncle have served on hospital boards.
My dedication and work ethic are unquestioned, as is my faith. For 10 years I spent virtually every waking minute working for and thinking about the people of this district. It would be my honor to continue that service with the same single-minded purpose
